Sand Bike

Un’ottima idea, quindi, per tutti gli appassionati di sport da spiaggia che vogliono aggiungere una novità alla loro attività fisica. La sand bike consente di fare lunghe passeggiate al mare pedalando sulla sabbia e  resistendo alla salsedine.

A primo impatto, una Sand Bike sembra essere piuttosto simile ad una classica mountain bike, ma si distingue dalle altre biciclette per la sua struttura più imponente e robusta. Le ruote sono molto grandi e larghe (circa  30” x 4.8”, misura che può variare in base ai modelli e le marche), ideate appositamente per affrontare i terreni più impervi e in particolar modo la sabbia. Non sono dotate di numerosi rapporti come le mountain bike. Su una sand bike la marcia prevede, in base al modello, un minimo di tre rapporti che però consentono di passeggiare agevolmente sulla sabbia.
