Bicycle House a Malmö

La prima Bicycle House, da poco ultimata in Svezia, è una costruzione pensata per essere totalmente bike friendly.

Lo studio di architettura Hauschild + Siegel, oltre ad aver progettato e costruito questo fabbricato, si occuperà anche della gestione, selezionando gli utenti in base alle reali necessità di utilizzo.

Bicycle House, che è situato nei pressi del porto occidentale (Västerhamn) di Malmö, comprende 55 appartamenti, uno spazio comune a piano terra che funge anche da parcheggio, e diverse aree accessorie, sempre a dimensione di bici.

La vera particolarità del progetto è che gli abitanti possono accedere direttamente dalla strada fino all’interno dei loro appartamenti in bici.

Questo è reso possibile tramite speciali ascensori e rampe sovra dimensionate, larghi corridoi e porte di accesso agli ambienti che hanno una larghezza di 10cm superiore a quelle standard. Anche con le più ingombranti bici da trasporto, si può arrivare addirittura in cucina e scaricare la spesa direttamente nel frigorifero.

Anche i servizi sono allo stesso livello, con cargo bike a noleggio gratuito ed una zona di manutenzione e lavaggio delle biciclette.

The first Bicycle House, recently completed in Sweden, is a building designed to be totally bike friendly.

The architectural firm Hauschild + Siegel, as well as having designed and built this building, is also responsible for administering, by selecting the users based on actual usage needed.

Bicycle House, which is located near the western port of Malmö (Västerhamn), comprises 55 apartments, a common space on the ground floor that doubles as a car park, and a number of ancillary areas, always on bicycle size.

The real peculiarity of the project is that residents can access directly from the street to the inside of their apartments by bike.

This is possible by special lifts and ramps over-sized, wide corridors and access doors to environments that have a width of 10cm higher than the standard ones. Even with the most cumbersome to transport a bike, you can even get in the kitchen and unload your shopping directly into the refrigerator.

The services are the same level, with cargo bikes for rent free and a maintenance area and bike washing.
